When to use it
Two is liǎng, not èr, whenever you're counting things — liǎng ge, liǎng bēi, liǎng wèi (a table for two). èr is the digit itself, in prices and phone numbers. It's a small fix that immediately makes your Mandarin sound less like a textbook.
